      • It’s a question I usually don’t allow myself to get to asking. Or if I do, I’ve made up my mind already to move along. Not learning unconditional acceptance/forgiveness in a family setting has its pros and cons. On the one hand I was subjected to much abuse and pain by my family, and not much grace or kindness; on the other hand they taught me that not even family is a burden you’re stuck with forever, so I walk away quicker and quicker from people that take me for granted.
