Some of my readers may know this, but I enjoy writing haikus. I used to write free-form poetry and short stories, but I haven’t written anything of those sorts in a long while. However, haikus come to my mind once in a while.
I keep batches of my haikus in Word documents, but someday I ought to write all of them in a notebook as one collection.
She is curious
Wondering about “what if”s
Much to contemplate
Rain hits the windows
Strong winds are to blame tonight
Safe inside my bed
She misses his arms,
His kisses, his perfect words –
But no longer here
